The conference participants discussed the
implementation of the Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP),
the EU Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) and the
available funds to support the countries. The participants also
discussed the experiences of countries, businesses and financing
institutions in financing eco-innovative projects in the CEE and how
the situation can be improved. Very interesting case-studies and
success stories were presented from CEE and the EU member states.

All participants were very
satisfied with the conference, highlighting that the REC has
done a pioneering work in bringing together interested parties
in eco-innovation promotion. Participants noted that they would
welcome REC to come up with follow up ideas on promoting and
strengthening the cooperation in eco-innovation stimulation and
