The conference was held in a pleasant environment of the Radisson SAS hotel in Budapest, where over 50 participants from 17 European countries gathered. Participants came from the financial sector (banks and innovative financing mechanisms), national agencies for eco-innovation, private eco-innovative businesses and international financing institutions

The conference participants discussed the implementation of the Environmental Technologies Action Plan (ETAP), the EU Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP) and the available funds to support the countries. The participants also discussed the experiences of countries, businesses and financing institutions in financing eco-innovative projects in the CEE and how the situation can be improved. Very interesting case-studies and success stories were presented from CEE and the EU member states.

“The next technological revolution will be led by eco-innovation”.
